Through a collaborative approach with families, therapy teams and educators, we aim to foster growth, confidence, and independence in every child we serve.
How Can We Help Support Your Child?
Speech Therapy
Our team specializes in articulation and phonological disorders. Articulation refers to the ability to produce clear and accurate speech sounds. In pediatric speech therapy, we focus on helping children correctly pronounce words and sounds to improve their communication skills
Parent Education & Consultation
Our parent education and consultations offer insights into your child's speech and language development, provide practical strategies and resources to empower you in supporting their progress at home. A parent consultation includes a detailed discussion of your child's speech and language development, concerns, and goals, along with personalized strategies and guidance to support their progress at home
Expressive & Receptive Language Therapy
Language therapy helps children develop and improve their ability to understand and use language and understand language, communicating better with the world around them. Your child may demonstrate expressive difficulties that look like delays in speaking, difficulty understanding vocabulary, trouble with grammar or sentence structure, or having a hard time telling stories or explaining something. Receptive delays may look like difficulty following directions, comprehending questions, processing, and more.
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
Our team of therapists specializes in AAC. AAC is considered or implemented when a child has limited or delayed verbal communication skills. AAC systems are tailored to meet each child’s unique needs and interests including helping them to effectively communicate their wants, needs, ideas and more. Ask us about different AAC options available, and ways to obtain one for your child!
Gestalt Language Processing
Gestalt language processing is a natural language acquisition for many children with autism. These children learn language in chunks or whole phrases as opposed to one word at a time. We support these children by helping them to acquire meaningful phrases, then break down these phrases to more spontaneous and flexible language, so they are better able to express themselves.
Literacy and Pre Literacy Skills
Our team provides targeted support in developing foundational reading skills such as phonemic awareness, letter recognition, rhyming, segmenting and blending words, developing vocabulary, and comprehension. Building these critical skills helps lay the groundwork for academic success, setting the stage for strong reading and writing abilities in the future.
